Thanks for visiting my webpage! My name is Carrie Preston, and I am a pianist and singer. I’ve been playing the piano for the last 20 years, and I have a bachelor of music in piano performance from Penn State University (class of 2004). While at Penn State, I gave 2 solo recitals that included works by Bach, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Chopin, Milhaud, Debussy, Poulenc, and Liszt. In addition, I accompanied soloists in voice and several other instruments. I performed in jury recognition and jury honors recitals, and organized several performances (solo and group) at local nursing homes. At Penn State, I was also a member of Essence of Joy, a choir that performs music from the African and African American tradition, including gospels, spirituals, and traditional African music. I am currently a member of the Masterworks Choir of Exton, which was founded by the Pennsylvania Academy of the Performing Arts (PAPA).
If you are interested in hiring me for an event or as an accompanist, please email me at carrie.e.preston (@) gmail (dot) com. I am also continuously working on solo repertoire and hope to perform in the area. Thanks for stopping by!
